the WHITE RABBIT

The White Rabbit is a delightful art/crafts store in Iowa City run by our good friends Cortnie Widen and Luke Tweedy. Theyre fluint in good music and art, refraining from hipster notions but satisfying the needs of those that feel they need to represent them qualities. Simply fueled by good people making good art. This month they gave me the oppurtunity to let me display a bunch of my original art and prints, ranging from original pieces of the many, many Nitetrotter designs ive done, to album cover orginals, to large canvas pieces, and finally a few new collaboration pieces i've done with Jon Olson of Wolf Eyes and Cedric Bixler of the Mars Volta. I'm very proud of this work, and if you're around that area and wanna see or buy some cool stuff you should check it out!!

FAKE SNAKE

fake snake is the alias for Arizona's noise monger, Melted Cassettes...he will be releasing a digital E.P. on Nitetrotter/Nitco and a limited Cass. version will be available thru Nitco. another release you better jump on before theyre gone. He asked me to put together the art for the project, he assumed i'd be drawing it...but i felt a slick Graphic design for a noise project was definitely in need for this...here's your preview. and GOODNIGHT!

Phil Ross worked his ass off to get this guitar virtuosoe release out by Gary Lucas(played with Zappa,Beefheart, plenty of others) i designed a little flyer for him upon his request to go in this 7"...if you are a fan, i'd track it down before its out of print!

MOMS and POPS...

this is not representing of my mother in any way, she barely drinks, and this was on her birthday!! too funny, she's so pretty, which has been a curse due to my friend making unbelievable comments over the years. SHES STILL GOT IT!! go mom!

...and Me and POPS, this was after a MIJA show of which he ran sound, and did ALOT of the footwork for...we were tanked, i cannot deny that. i ended making quite an ass of myself this night. sorry am!

what can i say, i love my parents!

So, i never give  my parents enough credit, they do TOO MUCH for me, not that im spoiled, per se, but they help me out alot, my father has always pushed me to be a better musician, of which ive followed in his footsteps, and for a few years me, my brother and my father had played in a band together called HUMANS. that was a very proud moment in all our lives. My mother on the other hand also sings in a church band, but, ive never had the oppurtunity to record music with her, that is definitely a future plan for me. My rent's are also my landlords for Mixtapes! and Menos Ink(the tattshop/record store i own) yes, they collect rent, i dont have it that easy. As of late me, my brother and cousin's band MIJA went to California to record with 2 amazing musicans, Ikey Owens(free moral agents/the Mars Volta) and Phillip Becker(triclops)...we drove from Illinois, a nice couple day ride. My mother took it upon herself to buy us a TON of groceries, which was completley made of every stoner food you could think of, helping us ALL put on a few pounds.  heres a few pix of the people that im a seed of....
