Mi Infierno by Jorge Anthony Tapia (my first solo album)

well, geez...i have a few things to say about this. ive been recording songs for half my life, most of which will never be heard by anyone but Amber or a few friends...who gives a shit,really. But after a few close friends maybe i should think about releasing a solo album, i decided to go with it. It still has taken me a while to buckle down and due it, due to alot the songs lacking in consistency or any sort of real energy(which is why i never used them in any of my bands) so, ive tossed most of em aside, but, have 2 specifically themed albums as my first releases. They are based around what happens to a person after a considerable amount of time and pressure. So alot of the trax are the release of pent up issues, being exasperated into song form. I've left most of em the way ive recorded em without fixing the fudged vocals, off keys, bad notes etc. embarrasing on the average, i dont think i could sit in a room with someone as theyre listening to this.But, i do feel like ive gotten a few things off my chest. Mi Infierno I is a more organic, live band feel. Some of the tracks are written by Ray Malone(the ingenious drummer behind Meth and Goats mathematics) with Mondo Drag's bassist Dennis Hockaday. Where i simply do vocals...but the rest are Acoustic and experimental songs with traces of white noise weaving through soft hooks. Mi Infierno II will be beat related with alot of songs i did digitally with beats written for me, or beats i did on reason etc...these songs resemble Prince or Pharell Williams. My 3rd album, which is to be titled will consist of me and Jason Whitmarsh(of Sinjo Thraw Mash and Nitco tapes) this has yet to be recorded, we start soon.

The art is pictures of taken and graphically designed, i then passed them over to HILLEL ZAVALA...where she made them just beautiful! i love her art and you should too! she worked with EYES and now me on this, i hope to continue to do art with her!!
